Yes. Goodbye, Blogger

Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post. I've decided to stop blogging totally and completely.

I'm not going to be posting on any of my own blogs, and I'm not going to be reading anyone's blog either. As much as I love some people's blogs, I'm not going to read them.

Also, I've been a little reluctant to totally delete my blog, me being so sentimental, and a few comments convinced me not to. I'll probably just make this a private blog so that, if the whim ever strikes me, I can go back and read whatever I wrote.

I'm not sure if I will keep blogging at my design blog. I might, I might not. I still haven't decided. All I know is that, for now, for at least a month or two, I'm not going to blog at all, not on any blog.

I'm not sure if I will come back to blogging. Right now, I need to get my priorities in order. I need to gain some serious time management skills (seriously). I do hope that I will one day have a blog again, but I'm not sure.

Right now I'm going to focus on life and take time to do what I love. Write. Take photos. Knit. Read. Play the piano, and maybe learn to play the guitar. Learn martial arts. Spend time with my family. Make some new friends. Play with my dog. Spin in circles and play in the snow. Enjoy life and study hard. After all, I'm going to high school in the fall.

So I will probably keep this post up for a week or so and then make the blog private.

Goodbye, friends. I will miss you. As the Germans say, Auf Wiedersehen- until we meet again.

P.S: I think I need to move to New York. Or Maryland. Or Pennsylvania. They got nineteen inches of snow yesterday! Or maybe to Valdez, Alaska, where the average is 326 inches per year :)

Sayonara?

Hello, friends. I'd like a little advice.

You see, I'm not sure whether or not to delete this blog. I love it, but lately I haven't had much to post about. Or I have, but posting just hasn't been coming to me. Or I'm forcing myself to type out something, just to post. That's not what I wanted when I started blogging.

Then there's the issue of 'way too much time spent online.' Most of the time I spend online is on blogger, surfing other people's blogs and such. And for some reason, I feel that no longer posting on a personal blog with help alleviate that problem.

I literally spend hours each day online, leaving little time for writing, taking photos, graphic design, spending time with family, or even reading novels. Let alone reading the Bible deeply and without just skimming over everything 'just to read some of the Bible today.' What happened to my New Year's resolutions? What happened to just life?

I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if I hadn't set up a blog I then called 'Kikidee202's Diary' in February of 2009. Certainly much different from my current life. I would probably not spend so much time on the computer. I would have little knowledge of HTML. I wouldn't give a second thought to graphic design or ever dream that I could own Adobe Photoshop before that age of, like, 35. Taking pictures would not have been as important to me (even though I loved photography back then too!).

It's no use reminiscing, and I'm glad I blogged for these two years. Although utterly addicting and often time-wasting, Blogger has taught me a lot. I have friends from other cities and countries. I have broader horizons. But now, I'm wondering if I should continue blogging.

But then comes a little, teeny-tiny problem lurking in a dusty corner. One of the main things I love (loved?) about a personal blog is that I can share my photographs and get some responses. Sure, there's Flickr, but that doesn't seem quite the same.

So I've been thinking, instead of deleting this blog, about turning it into a photography/gratitude journal blog where I post photos every so often, say once a week. Of things that I'm thankful for. Or just anything in general. And any other posts if I want to.

So what should I do? Delete this blog? Keep it as-is? Change to a more pure photography blog? I'm sort of lost about what to do. If you don't want to comment, please at least vote in the sidebar poll.

PS: No matter what I choose to do with this blog, I will still keep posting at my newly renamed graphic design blog, Simply Kimi Designs. Even if I choose not to delete this blog, that one will most likely be my main blog, so if you don't already, it would be awesome to go over and follow. *wink wink*

An Eight Tag

achieve1dream tagged me back in October. Sorry that it's taken so long to get this posted :)

1. What is your biggest pet peeve?
I have too many. One of them is probably when people are hypocritical and act cocky about themselves. That just really annoys me.
2. Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?
When I go to bed, they are tucked in. In the morning my bed is a mess of sheets.
3. Do you think it's okay for guys to wear pink?
Yes! Why not?
4. Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?
My closet has a hole in the wall/floor - that's probably where. Or in my garden.
5. Do you have any magazine subscriptions?
I subscribe to Birds and Blooms magazine, about gardening/birding.
6. What's your song of the week?
I really like Down By the Water by the Decemberists.
7. When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper?
Must have been in 4th or 5th grade, so 3-4 years ago. Wow. I used to write letters to my best friend Mimi all the time, now it's just email.
8. What country would you like to visit?
It's hard to pick only one. Probably... France. Carlotta's photos make me want to see Paris. Although I want to see Germany too, and Russia. And Australia. And Britain, and Ireland. There are too many places I want to visit.

Now, here are my 8 questions for the people I tag.
1. What is your guilty pleasure?
2. What's your dream pet?
3. A habit you want to lose in 2011?
4. Favorite store to shop at?
5. Your favorite hobby or passion?
6. Where would your dream home be and what would it look like?
7. Do you consider yourself a city person, a suburbanite, or rural at heart?
8. What is one thing you remember from the time you were 8 (or, if you can't remember, and you're old enough, 18, or 28, and so on).

I tag:
Brooke from Dove Tree
Megan from Me. That's All I Have To Be
Kendra from IsmiKendra
Blue Jeans from Polar Paws
I can't think of 8 people.... followers/readers who want to do this, tag yourself.
