So How is Dogdom so far.....

There isn't really any way to prepare yourself for getting a dog.

Except getting one.

It's the kind of experience you just jump into... nose first.

You never really get enough sleep (at the times that you're supposed to).

So... you multitask: sleep, read the newspaper, and snore.

See that jowl hanging just so over the newspaper?

Kusy is smart. He uses the pile of papers as his personal pillow.
Too bad the poor dog has kennel cough. His cough sounds... too human. He probably likes the getting-a-piece-of-hot-dog part. It's just that it's supposed to be the getting-a-piece-of-hot-dog-with-a-pill-for-kennel-cough-inside part. Thankfully, he's never not eaten the pill.... except once, when he ate some of it and spilled the rest of the yellow powder inside on the floor.
More pictures to come soon!

Dogdom (and VACATION) Approaching...

Tomorrow just may be one of the best days ever. Because, it's the last day of seventh grade. And I just may get a dog! But then I may also get a dog on Saturday instead.... or Sunday.... or maybe even the Friday after that..... or the Saturday after that.... or the Sunday after that.... or the Friday after next Friday...
Well, I think you get it. I have a 98.9% chance of getting a dog this summer. Just exactly WHEN this summer that special day will be, is impossible to know. That's the problem with adopting from a shelter. You never know when you'll find the dog that makes your brain tingle and your eyes fuzz up. The dog that just thinking of fills you with so much energy you have to hop around for a minute to be able to think clearly again. So I'll be crossing my fingers all day. And tomorrow I'll be bumped 3 feet into the air 2 last times. Riding a bumpy school bus certainly has at least one benefit. Nothing wakes you up to the day better.
