Dog?
I may finally be getting a dog. Just a few days earlier, I would have vehemently refused getting a puppy- and perhaps even one from a breeder? I would have called the idea insane- why, when so many homeless dogs are in our shelters? But now, I'm not so sure anymore. Now, I know we're getting a little puppy- 8 weeks, maybe 12. Not 8 months, not 2 years. A little puppy. And, maybe, even a purebred- a Miniature Schnauzer, perhaps. But also, maybe a mutt from the shelter. As long as I get a dog... I'll be happy. Whenever I think of this, whenever I remember that, hey! I'm getting a dog! (which is always), I feel happy and giddy inside. I feel an urge to skip and twirl, to let out the occasional shriek or scream of omg-ness. I can see myself, a little gray bundle asleep on my lap, a puppy scrambling through the grass between my outsretched legs, out on a walk with my dream come true on a leash with a blue collar. My dog, front paws perched on a baby gate in my kitchen door, looking lovingly at me sitting in the next room, ears perked. Rushing outside so my dog won't piddle inside on the kitchen floor. Gently brushing my puppy's fur, stroking him (or her). My puppy sitting before me on the white kitchen tiles, waiting expectantly for his next meal. Romps in the park, playing fetch at the field by my house. In a word- love. In another word- happiness. Best summer of my life. I can only hope.

I am VERY MAD!!!
Does anyone recall a post I wrote when I just came back from my break? About that idiot Ralph Blumenthal and his lie-packed article in Parade? Well, I wrote a letter to him and I thought I hadn't received a response. I had, but it was sent to my spam (and rightly so!). The response said, "This error has been long since corrected in an editor's note {and I already said this before, I was asking him to have the magazine put something in print}. As mentioned in the editor's note, this error was not mine."
So right away, with my temper (and excuse me for this next part), I thought, THEN WHO THE ^&$#'S error is it!!! Did the magazine just randomly type up some crap and slap your name on it?? Or did the magazine purposely make those stupid 'errors' only an idiot like the author could possibly make??? Is that idiot not the one wrote that stupid article???
I am sorry, that man is an idiot who purposely defames the Polish people, and nothing will change my mind.

Polish Constitution Day Parade and other news, including dog walking businesses
Ever since my Lent-long break from Blogger, I just haven't felt like blogging as much as I had before.
So, here's what's been going on:
-On Sunday April 18, 2010, there was a Marsz Żałobny through Chicago from my church to another church, going to a mass to honor the victims of the tragic crash on April 10th. My family and I went partway on the marsz (like a march), but then we turned back because my mom's feet hurt. Here is the only good picture I managed to take:
This is a women who was part of the march, I just loved what she was wearing so I couldn't resist a photo.
-Today was the Polish Consitution Day Parade. Here are some of my (horrible) photos:
Here are a few guys who came from my Polish school (Mimi do you recognize anyone? lol)
I was trying to take a picture of that banner with the late polish President on it. I just noticed now this women that got in the way. :)
These kids from my Polish school were carrying a huge Polish flag through the whole parade.
Just some people walking in front of me.
These dressed up people walked a few numbers behind us. Here they are, before it was their turn in the parade. Some of them wore stilts.
My friend right by the Buckingham Fountain.
A little girl I 'caught' standing next to the Porta-Potties.
A cut off picture of an adorable beagle with a Polish flag attached to its harness, if you can see it.
A couple of Polish Highland Sheepdogs, or Polskie Owczarki Podhalańskie. I was hoping to see some PON (Polish Lowland Sheepdogs) like I had last year, but I didn't, unfortunately.
Congressman Mark Kirk, who is campaigning for the Senate. Alexi Giannoulias was also there. I'm no big fan of either of these people. Funny how in the picture on the bottom, the guy looks a lot like those Nazis that would salute and say "Heil Hitler." (You see the resemblance with the raised hand, straight up?)
This is the tribunał/ tribunal (it that's an english word) where Lech Kaczyński would have been, had he not perished in the horrible catastrophe (I am refraining from calling it an 'accident' because the chances of it happening 'accidentaly' are slim according to me).
Some tulips by the Buckingham Fountain
A couple of younger kids from Polish school.
The Polish Scouts carrying pictures of all 96 people killed on April 10th were one of the first parts of the parade
When we were waiting for the buses to come pick us up after the parade ended (I went with my Polish school), we had to walk down Randolph street, and it was like a subway tunnel sort of. To one side, and down, there was this huge, scary place about maybe 50 feet below where we were standing.
Since the actual Polish Constitution Day is May 3rd, I've been thinking of writing "POLSKA" on my face in red Sharpie. Therefore, on Monday, the writing will still be there, and I will have an excuse so I won't get in trouble at school for writing on my face.
-Also, I've been thinking about starting a dog walking business. That way, I can be around dogs. I'd like to do this until I've got my own dog- so approximately, hopefully, until the middle of June. I don't care about charging money- I just want to be around dogs. Once I get the nerve to ask my neighbors if I can walk their dog, maybe I'll set up a website and make flyers and advertise on Craigslist or something. I'm thinking about calling my business... wait for it.... wait for it..... "Kinga's Dog Walking Service!" Catchy, huh? lol.
Wish me luck please, or preferably just my own dog. :)

Suspicions
After the horrible accident on April 10th, 2010, everyone was just too devastated to suspect anyone. But as the grief passed... the Poles are beginning to realize the truth. How could this be due to the weather, when witnesses clearly saw the accident happen, and the amateur video contained no fog whatsoever? How could two experienced pilots make a mistake like this? How could they not realize they were 2.5 meters above the ground just moments before crashing? Why did Russia claim 3 people survived, but did not call any ambulances? Why did Russian authorities lie, and claim the pilots did not speak Russian (when they did, very well), say that the plane tried to land four times (when it crashed on its first try, and another plane Ił-76 who flew in moments earlier attempted to land four times), and call it pilot error if those same pilots were in Smolensk just days earlier with Prime Minister Tusk?
And on March 13th, 2010, Georgian TV Imedi featured a fake newscast about Russian aggresion towards Georgia that causes the death of the Georgian President. And in the newscast, the President of Poland Lech Kaczyński, on his way in his presidential plane to aid Georgia, died in a crash.
Also, the whole delegation was supposed to arrive in Russia by train. Who convinced them otherwise?
I'm beginning to suspect Acting President Bronisław Komorowski and prime Minister Donald Tusk set this up with Russia. Now the PO political party (Komorowski's and Tusk's party) is reigning. And if Komorowski wins the elections, it will be in charge completely. Did you know in the first few days after the tradegy, Komorowski already signed some bills?
Also, I've read that Russians used EMP or electro magnetic impulses to knock down the plane. They've had the weapons since the Cold War, but in 2008 they developed a much smaller version 10 times as powerful. They send out powerful impulses that can destroy the machinery on the plane (such as the one that tells the pilot how high up in the air he/she is). Plus, once the machinery is destroyed, it is hard to determine the cause since the impulse is so short and powerful. In addition, the Russians were testing these weapons at the Smolensk military airport.
For these reasons, and for numerous others, it is obviously Russia who caused the tradegy. Once I have the time to translate them all from the articles I've found, I certainly will.
