I am in the process of writing a book! Here's a short excerpt:

My book has yet to be named. One chapter is done, the second is almost done. I can't post it online, but I can give you a preview(this is the first draft, be prepared for some major sucky writing):
"I never thought my boring, humdrum life could ever become more interesting. Believe me; I had tried to add pizzazz. Taking lessons in Zulu only showed me that I did not have a knack for learning foreign languages. Kung fu classes were just as bad. So, finally, after years of trying various activities, I gave up, dooming myself to a dull lifetime of school. Little did I know that my decision to take the public bus home from school one day would change that, forever. A dapper man in a worn gray suit approached me while I was waiting on Michigan Avenue. Taking one good, long look at me, he leaned toward my crouching figure.
“You are special. You are chosen. You are needed. Come with me.” He conveyed in a loud whisper."

Again, this is just a first draft. The first few lines only. There are 4000 more words written! My goal is to have the first draft of the book done by the end of the year. Whether or not that happens, I can only hope. Please, I would really appreciate ANY comments and feedback from you. Constructive critisicm, no "good/bad." Be specific. Thanks!
