The Best Donuts EVER!!

Okay some of you may consider this a late post, this happened on Sunday, but I absolutely have to share. My family went on our annual apple picking trip to Oriole Springs in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. It is more like on the Illinois/Wisconsin border. Anyway, their apples are amazing and it is so fun to pick them and then eat them. Unfortunately this year because of my braces I was unable to devour the usual amount of six or more apples. Instead, two were consumed, using my dad's penknife that I was secretly hiding at the same time so no one would kick us out. Thankfully nothing happened. It was torture to see so many delicious apples being eaten by everone but me and have to cut mine up into the tiniest bite-size pieces imaginable. We also picked our own pumpkin. This is the first year we have done this but it was only three dollars for a HUGE pumpkin. Most of the ones in the patch were covered with disgusting beetle-like bugs.
Of course after we payed 67 dollars for our three big bags and one small bag of apples(big= 18 bucks each, small= 10 bucks) we drove to Harvest Time. Apple cider, hot dogs, cheese, etc is available for purchase. You can buy apple from the orchard, meat, and all sorts of stuff. A collection of Nigerian goats, turkeys, ducks, and lambs are congregated behind the main buildings. Some of the goats were available for sale. There were hay bales for climbing, a swing set for the tiny tykes, and some unsightly porta-potties. While my brother, my dad and I went to see the animals my mom stood in line for the donuts. A very LONG line. You take a paper, fill it out, stand in line to hand in the paper, pay, then wait until they make the donuts and give them to you. You can see them make the donuts from the store. Seven fifty for a dozen. Those warm donuts are absolute tongue bliss! Even two days later it is impossible to believe that a better tasting donut exists. Delisiously crafted.... mmm.....
