It is autumn. For sure. Why? The garden is gone. The tomatoes and carrots and brocolli and cucumbers and sweet basil and watermelon and all the other veggies we had in our garden. We pulled everything out. The good thing is the "end of season harvest." All the stuff that hasn't ripened completely yet we picked. But the mose exciting thing... SWEET POTATOES!! My dad and I secretly bought three sweet potato seedlings and planted them in between the tomotoes and the peppers. Halfway through the summer I let slip that they wer sweet potatoes to my mom. Anyway, we dug them up and we have TONS! So many! And so good! My mom made her delicious dish, sliced sweet potaotes, sliced apples, granola, raisins, brown sugar, everything baked. We still have some more sweet potatoes left for another time.
